Should I see a Masseuse or an Osteopath?
At Bendigo Osteo, we see massage as complementary to Osteopathy.
Osteopaths are medically trained, they will take extensive case history, will use a broader range of treatment techniques including stretching, cranial, manipulation, dry needling and massage. They also diagnosis conditions and provide referrals for other medical professionals or imaging.
Massage is aimed at increasing blood circulation, relieving muscles tightness and inducing relaxation. It is perfect for generalised muscle tightness and strains, stress relief, maintaining joint flexibility and movement, recovery from sporting injuries and management of chronic conditions such as MS, RSI, or fibromyalgia.
Our massage team will regularly discuss the management of dysfunctions with the osteopaths and plan the best form of treatment.
If you are still unsure, the best option is to book with our Osteopaths first and they will then after an initial consultation be able to advise you on which care is best.
