Bendigo Osteo has been treating babies in Bendigo for over 13 years.

So why would you take your baby to see an Osteopath? All newborn babies experience a degree of trauma during the birthing process because of the pressure exerted during labour. This trauma may cause soft tissue tension and misalignment of the cranial bones of the skull or other areas of the musculoskeletal system.

Dr Matthew Moresi (Osteopath) has been treating babies for over 13 years and we are excited that Dr Merryn Dannatt (Osteopath) has now joined him in specialising in paediatric osteopathy. Both Drs predominantly practice in cranial/biodynamic osteopathy. This is a gentle form of osteopathic treatment that aims to correct any tension or misalignment present after birth. 

Conditions Osteopaths treat in Babies

At Bendigo Osteo, our Osteopaths treat musculoskeletal strains  that may be contributing to conditions experienced by babies. These include- 

• Difficulty sleeping
• Colic
• Reflux
• Digestive issues (constipation)
• Feeding difficulties
• Asymmetries in head shape
• Rolling to one side only
• Delayed sitting, crawling, walking
• Post tongue tie operations

At Bendigo Osteo we work hard to make your experience comfortable for you and your baby. We provide baby change room facilities and pram access. We also have a comfortable couch for breastfeeding, or have a private space to feed if preferred and if you need the microwave to heat a bottle just ask our friendly reception.

All our Osteopaths provide treatment for post-pregnancy pains and conditions.  Furthermore we offer Massage which may be a lovely way to treat yourself post birth.
